Dr. Victor Cohen, MD
Concierge Psychiatry in Boston
More than a 15-minute appointment
Most ADHD care follows a familiar pattern: rushed appointments, medication adjustments without context, and the sense that your provider doesn't quite grasp what it's like to live in your head.
At my practice, you only work with me. I evaluate and manage ADHD myself, without referring out to lower-level providers.
I provide comprehensive ADHD care for adults who need more than a prescription. My concierge approach combines psychiatrist-level expertise with the time and attention that complex brains deserve.

Need Urgent Assistance?
The Concierge Difference at My Practice
Most ADHD evaluations happen in fifteen minutes with a checklist. Mine take longer, because attention problems can come from a dozen different places and a checklist alone won't sort them out.
Direct access means you can reach me when a dose needs adjusting or a side effect shows up, not leave messages and wait for callbacks. Same physician, every visit.
A small patient panel means real time for your history, and it means I'm as willing to take you off a medication as I was to start it. Deprescribing gets the same care as prescribing.

My Approach to Adult ADHD Treatment

A Long Evaluation First
I review prior records, take a full history, and often coordinate with other clinicians to understand the whole picture before I diagnose. This evaluation may span multiple sessions.
A Plan Built Around You
From this evaluation, we build a plan suited to your situation. This may mean a careful medication trial, adjusting one variable at a time to see what actually helps. It may mean therapy for the daily-functioning side: planning, follow-through, and the self-criticism that outlasts the inattention itself.
Direct Access After That
Throughout treatment, I stay directly accessible. A dose that needs adjusting, a side effect, a question between appointments, these get addressed promptly rather than left to wait.
I consider school history, work patterns, relationships, and prior treatments. I review earlier evaluations and coordinate with other clinicians to build a complete picture before I prescribe anything.
Reach Out To Learn More
The first step is a confidential conversation about your history.
During this initial discussion, we'll talk through your concerns, answer questions about my approach, and determine whether this practice is the right fit.
Seeking care for ADHD as an adult can feel like a significant step, especially after past appointments that felt rushed. I want it to be straightforward, and to give you the time a real evaluation takes.
