At my clinic, you get the time you deserve with a trusted physician, and an entire team of care workers making sure you feel fully supported.

If you’re feeling lost, we’ll find a path forward.

Why I Keep My Practice Small

Victor Cohen HeadShot

My practice is limited to no-more than 150 patients. Your standard insurance-based psychiatrist may see between 800 and 1000. That’s only possible if you have back-to-back 15 minutes appointment all day, every day.

My high-quality training helped me develop outside that system. I ensure each patient gets the care and time they deserve.

Our first visit is a full hour, because understanding a person’s story cannot be rushed. Follow-ups are unhurried too. And because I am your personal clinician, you are never handed off to a rotating team of APRNs or PAs.

So, when something changes in your care — a side effect, a hard week, a question at 9 pm — you message me directly and hear back the same day, not a triage line. Care should fit the shape of your life, not the shape of a billing slot.

Personalized Psychiatry for Adults

What Makes My Concierge Practice Different

I offer patients a place to do therapy and medication management, together. This is the gold standard of psychiatric care, but most providers don’t offer it.

A correct diagnosis rests on the whole history, not a symptom checklist. I have time to hear the full picture before any prescription is written.

You've been on a medication for years and no one has ever suggested a way off. Deprescribing here is slow and collaborative, with real support between steps.

Every Patient is Unique

My Approach to Psychiatry in Boston

Victor Cohen in Back Bay

Every Case Begins with an Extended Initial Evaluation

I keep a smaller number of patients than most psychiatric practices, which allows for longer appointments than most clinics can offer. A correct diagnosis takes time to reach, and a short intake cannot fully capture an entire patient history.

I Listen for What's Happening Behind the Scenes

A checklist can tell me you're not sleeping. It can't tell me why, or what it's connected to. I'm listening for the history behind a symptom, not only the symptom itself. That context often changes the diagnosis, and it usually changes what I recommend: therapy, medication, or both, and in what order.

You Work with me Directly

I keep your history, relationships, work, and every prior trial in view — and when a therapist or primary care doctor shares your care, I talk with them, so we can understand the full picture before making decisions.
